About Brandon
I’m an ASU physics student with an Associate degree in Mathematics and experience tutoring STEM students.
My academic background is centered on mathematics and physics, including calculus, differential equations, and university-level physics. I’ve also worked as a STEM tutor, which has given me experience helping students with different levels of preparation and different ways of thinking through quantitative material.
Because I’m still actively studying physics myself, I understand what it is like to work through difficult technical courses and prepare for demanding exams. I try to make explanations clear, structured, and practical rather than overly abstract.
I’m especially interested in helping students become more independent problem solvers, so tutoring becomes less about getting through one assignment and more about building skills that carry into the next course.

Use the two sections differently.
For “About your lessons,” focus on what the student experiences:
I focus on helping students understand how to approach math and physics problems, not just memorize formulas or copy procedures.
A typical lesson starts by identifying where the difficulty is: the underlying concept, the setup, the algebra, or the problem-solving strategy. From there, we work through examples step by step, then shift toward having you solve similar problems with less guidance.
I can help with homework support, exam preparation, concept review, catching up after falling behind, and building stronger foundations for future courses. I work with students in algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, differential equations, and university physics.
My goal is for you to leave the session able to explain the method and reproduce it independently.
