About Alyssa
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’ve always believed that creativity flourishes when people feel supported, seen, and encouraged—and that’s exactly the kind of space I aim to create as a tutor. I know how vulnerable it can feel to share your art or try something new, so I bring patience, empathy, and encouragement to every lesson. I take my role seriously—not just as someone teaching a skill, but as someone helping you build confidence in your creative voice. I’m reliable, organized, and committed to helping you grow, whether you’re just picking up a pencil for the first time or pushing your work to the next level. You can expect a learning experience that’s thoughtful, respectful, and tailored to you.

As a Master of Architecture student at the University of Toronto with a strong foundation in both traditional and digital art, I offer a dynamic and tailored approach to tutoring. My lessons blend classical drawing and painting techniques with modern digital tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, allowing students to build a well-rounded skillset. Each session is adapted to the student's goals—whether that’s mastering foundational sketching, developing a portfolio, or exploring digital illustration. A typical lesson involves hands-on exercises, step-by-step demonstrations, and guided creative projects. I aim to foster not just technical ability but creative confidence, and I bring real-world design insight from my experience in architecture studios and visual communication roles. My lessons are ideal for high school or university students, beginners, or aspiring creatives looking to strengthen their artistic voice with personalized support.
