As a British teacher examiner (C2 certified), I use code-switching (English/Italian) when needed to ensure clarity. I’ve successfully prepared students for English proficiency tests (IELTS, Cambridge, etc.) and Italian certifications (CELI, CILS). Every lesson follows a clear framework while remaining personalized: Lead-in – Engaging discussion or activity to introduce the topic. Focus on Meaning, Form & Pronunciation – Elicitation, drilling, and targeted practice. Semi-Controlled Practice – Guided exercises to build confidence. Freer Practice – Real-life application (e.g., role-plays, debates, writing tasks). I emphasize student-centered learning, tailoring materials to learners' interests—whether it’s grammar, fluency, or exam prep.
