My violin lessons are for anyone, no matter how young or old, who wants to learn to play the violin within the context of folk, pop, or rock. We will look at classical violin technique to ensure safety whilst playing, as well as how to read music and music theory. Musical improvisation can also be studied to allow you to elaborate on the music you're playing with confidence. I will ensure we cover all the technical skills which will allow your playing to flourish. For more advanced players I am able to offer coaching and advice as you look to bring your skills to sessions, local gigs, or even bigger stages.

Irene is a brilliant, professional and friendly tutor, who had taught my brother since the age of 5- from a complete beginner to grade 8, which he passed with distinction at just 12 years old. Irene has a bespoke approach to each of her students, and takes their goals and interests into consideration. If you would like to make progress and enjoy the process of becoming great at the violin, have Irene help you to get there!
