About Omer
I have been working as an environmental professional for over 15 years. From environmental education for the public in museums and non-profits, to conducting my own research and teaching at the college level, to habitat restoration with botanic gardens to protection of natural resources through government agencies. I have applied knowledge about ecosystems and the environment and understand teaching for folks with diverse backgrounds.
I know I can get you excited about the environment and enhance your understanding of Biology and Ecology. I have worked with birds, fisheries, shellfish, crayfish, native and invasive plants, trees, wetlands, beavers as well as microscopic aquatic organisms. Biology is all around us and we are all part of the ecosystem! I am confident I can meet you where you are and make tough concepts more approachable. I have a proven track record and local knowledge and can provide info and ways which students can get outside and actually see ecological concepts they are learning about all around them. Let's pass this class together and grow your knowledge of the natural world!
