About Dominic
I’m passionate about teaching because I’ve seen firsthand how hard work leads to success. Watching students improve and gain confidence is incredibly rewarding. Personally, I’m an active person and love to surf—it’s where I find balance and inspiration. Teaching, especially debating, is my favorite because it goes beyond just academic skills; it builds confidence, critical thinking, and communication—skills that are invaluable in life. I enjoy helping students develop these abilities, and I love seeing them apply them both in class and outside. There's something deeply satisfying about watching a student grow through effort and dedication.

When tutoring, I start by getting to know my students—understanding what excites them, where they struggle, and how they learn best. I tailor each session to fit their individual needs, adjusting the pace and methods as necessary. I focus on building a strong foundation of trust, so they feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment. I use real-life examples to make concepts more relevant and engaging. Regular feedback keeps them motivated, and I celebrate their progress, no matter how small. Ultimately, my goal is to help them feel confident and capable in their abilities, both in and out of the classroom
