About Mark
I earned my bachelor's degree in applied mathematics at Montana State University and just finished my last semester of my masters in mathematics, again at MSU.
My tutoring experience began in my second year of my undergraduate degree at MSU. At the time, I tutored a wide variety of classes, adding more each time I finished a course. By the time I graduated with my bachelor's I was tutoring almost every math class offered at the school. Transitioning into my masters, I taught college algebra as an instructor and calculus 1, calculus 2, and differential equations as a TA.

My lessons are geared for math students of all levels of experience and proficiency, be it engineering students with a plethora of math classes already under their belt, college students just trying to pass their required math course, or high school students aiming to improve their math grade. Lessons will be tailored to the student's level of understanding in the subject involved.
I aim for my students to not just memorize formulas, but instead to get a deeper understanding of how the math works so that they instead can derive the answers to questions themselves. I believe this fosters a greater understanding of, appreciation of, and success with, mathematics.
