About Lyse-Djina
Hi, my name is Lyse-Djina Fontaine. I’m 17 years old and in Sec 5. I have pretty good grades, and the way I study is by trying to understand things first. I don’t like just memorizing stuff because I know I’ll forget it after the exam. But when I understand the concept, I remember it for a long time.
This is what I want to help you guys do. I have friends who study by just memorizing the problems and their solutions, especially when they’re preparing for exams. Me, I don’t like doing that. I always tell them, “It’s not just about memorizing. You have to understand it.” So, I want to teach you to do the same – understand the concepts, not just memorize the problems.
I don’t want to see people struggle, and I think math can be way easier if you understand it. That’s what I want to teach.

Hey! First, what I’ll do is help you understand the formulas and why we do things a certain way in Algebra. I think it’s really important to understand the concepts first before applying formulas. That’s the first step in studying – really understanding the “why” behind it.
Then, I’ll go through everything step-by-step. I’ll give you problems to solve to make sure you understand every part. With Trigonometry, it’s important to go step-by-step too, or it won’t make sense.
We’ll focus on what you need for Sec 5 and younger students. I’m not teaching higher than that, okay? I’ll help you get the basics down, especially since I know Trigonometry is something you usually start in Sec 4.
We’ll practice a lot together, and I have problems ready to help you understand. I’ll be there to support you and make everything make sense. Don’t worry – I’m here to help with your homework or exams if you’re younger than Sec 5.
