About Kendra
I understand math is intimidating and am here to help. I have extensive experience helping my students make math work for them. How do I help learners? As an instructional designer I leverage multiple modalities to maximize chances of reaching all learners. I think critically about my audience, their individual experiences and preexisting background knowledge to help them decode new knowledge and suss out meaning. I motivate my learners by making what they are learning explicitly relevant to them in the near future: whether that's to pass an important exam, or how they will use the skills I am teaching.
Topics that I teach: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Vector (Multivariable) Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Number Theory, Topology, and Abstract Algebra.
