I have been tutoring for 10 years. Prior to this I taught in mainstream secondary education. I achieved a BSc(Hons) in Mathematical Sciences and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics.
I feel that students learn best when they are in a comfortable, relaxed home environment. I have a good sense of humour and i am very patient.
I use a range of techniques to aid the student's learning such as puzzles, and (for Physics) models to demonstrate the theory being studied. I assess each student to ascertain their strengths and weaknesses prior to beginning each topic.
I follow the syllabus for the examination board the student is using (where applicable).
At A Level Maths and A Level Further Maths I have taught AQA, Edexcel, OCR and OCR MEI exam boards.
My lessons are normally 60 minutes in length but I am open to discussion regarding longer times.
