About Jorge
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Education. I have extensive experience (over 20 years) with all things math, including many years of classroom teaching experience, tutoring programs, online tutoring, etc...
Most recently, I have been tutoring students online with a high level of success in courses ranging from Pre-algebra to Calculus. I have worked with middle school students, high school students, and college students as well. Students have experienced improved test scores, better grades, and overall higher self confidence in math.
I am a friendly and patient tutor with an easy going personality that helps students feel at ease during math sessions, making learning much more natural and making positive results much more attainable. I understand that mathematics can be a daunting subject for many students, and I strive to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible. Creating a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions and receive answers without fear of judgment is important.
Lastly, I love mathematics, and I believe it shows through my tutoring. My enthusiasm and passion for math has enabled me to develop a unique approach to teaching the subject. My goal is to not only help my students achieve success in their math class but to also enjoy and appreciate the power and the beauty of math themselves. He has helped my 14yo daughter so much in the recent weeks. We've even had a few "surprise challenges" on assignments and he's made himself easily available to help whenever she needs a hand. Mr. George was great! I had trouble with my Algebra 2 class but he was able to help me improve my grade on my test by like 27pts cuz my last test was a disaster lol Many thanks to him and for sure i'll be asking him for more help.
