About Bethany
Hello! My name is Bethany, and I am a secondary mathematics teacher with a BSc (Hons) in Education Studies with Mathematics and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics.
I am passionate about helping students develop both their mathematical skills and their confidence. Through my experience teaching in secondary schools, I have worked with students of a wide range of abilities and understand that every learner is different. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual, adapting my teaching style to ensure concepts are explained clearly and at the right pace.
My lessons are typically one hour long and are aimed at GCSE students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, or achieve their target grade. Whether you need help mastering the fundamentals or tackling more challenging exam questions, I provide a supportive and encouraging environment where no question is too small.
My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop the confidence to approach maths with a positive mindset.

Although I am new to private tutoring, I have experience teaching mathematics within secondary schools through my classroom teaching. This has allowed me to work with students of a range of abilities and adapt my teaching to meet their individual needs.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My aim is to build confidence alongside mathematical understanding by breaking topics down into manageable steps, addressing misconceptions, and providing plenty of opportunities for guided and independent practice.
I currently offer 60-minute lessons for students studying GCSE Mathematics. Whether you are looking to improve your confidence, strengthen your understanding of specific topics, or prepare for your exams, I will create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to help you achieve your goals.
