About Conner
I'm Conner, a Maths and Physics graduate living in Birmingham! I have had some experience in Primary School on placement, teaching basic mathematics there. I graduated from Coventry University with a First Class degree in May of 2020. I have a passion for teaching maths and moving as many people as possible away from the idea that maths is 'too hard' to conceptualise or understand. I hope to inspire my students to find a love for mathematics rather than running from it. I have completed and gotten First Class grades in most all of my mathematics and physics modules including Calculus, Advanced Algebra, Real/Complex Analysis, Mathematical Modelling, Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Probability, Electromagnetism, Cosmology and Fluid Dynamics. I can teach MATLAB, Phython, FORTRAN etc for coding languages, as well as LaTeX syntax for formatting.

As a final year undergraduate, I can give tuition to any students of any level up to and including first year university level modules (calculus, algebra, real/complex analysis etc.) My teaching method is very much from first principals. I believe in teaching students to understand the concepts, not just to pass their exams (although passing exams is obviously follows from understanding). This is a method of learning that I believe sets students up for success should they choose to continue studying maths or physics. I do not believe in memorising formulae in lieu of understanding where the formulae came from, for instance. A strong foundation of understanding is what ensures that the whole house will not come crumbling down under the pressure of new problems, so I will seek to strengthen this foundation
of understanding for my students before going headstrong into uncharted territories of new concepts.

I charge an addition £2 for travel if the postcode I will be tutoring at is not a CV1 postcode. There are no charges on cancellation; my service is entirely flexible (around my university lecture hours)
