About Supriya
Hi, I'm Supriya, and I'm excited to be your tutor in the Engineering domain, particularly Electrical Engineering!
I'm currently a PhD scholar in the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi, one of India's top engineering institutes, where my research focuses on renewable integration in power system. Before this, I completed my M.Tech from IIEST Shibpur, which gave me a strong foundation in core EE concepts — the same concepts I now get to teach and revisit every day. Prior to joining IIEST I have secured a good GATE score.I teach Mathematics and Engineering subjects (especially Electrical Engineering) to students of all levels — from foundational concepts to advanced topics — with 2+ years of teaching and mentoring experience with IIT undergrads.
My approach focuses on building real understanding, not memorization, so concepts stick well beyond the exam. I'm patient, approachable, and happy to work with students from any engineering domain, not just EE.

I've been teaching and mentoring students for 2 years, including TA-ships, doubt-solving sessions, and peer mentoring for IIT undergrads, and I genuinely enjoy the moment when a concept "clicks" for a student. My lessons are personalized to each student's level and goals — whether you're strengthening fundamentals, preparing for exams, or working through a specific problem set you're stuck on. I typically start each session by understanding where you currently stand and what you want to achieve, then build the lesson around that.
A typical class includes:
1. A quick recap of previous concepts (if it's an ongoing course)
2. Clear explanation of new concepts with real-world intuition, not just formulas
3. Solved examples followed by practice problems you work through with guidance
4. A short summary and doubt-clearing session at the end
Sessions are conducted online via webcam, with shared digital notes/whiteboard so you have material to revisit later.
Whether it's a single doubt-clearing session or a longer-term course, my goal is the same: make sure you leave every class actually understanding the concept, not just having copied down the solution.
