About Ed Jeremiah
I’ve always had a natural interest in maths and have often been the person people turn to as the human calculator. I went to study Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Auckland. This gave me a strong understanding of the subject beyond school level.
I’m also a down to earth and approachable person. I understand that maths can sometimes feel stressful, confusing and simply not enjoyable. My goal is to help students look at maths differently, from breaking problems down into simple steps and showing them that maths doesn’t have to be intimidating.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual ability and goals. I believe the best way to learn maths is by understanding the process rather than memorising formulae.
We’ll start by identifying the areas the student is confident with and where they need more support.
I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes (a very important part of learning)! We’ll work together at their pace and collaborate often to make them comfortable.
I have experience tutoring students from primary school level all the way through to first year University so I’m comfortable adapting my teaching styles to different ages and abilities.
Lessons are available for students aged 7-16, covering primary and secondary school maths through to GCSE level.
