About Ishwar
I am Ishwar, an undergraduate student at McGill University with a passion for Biology and helping students discover how fascinating science can be.
I believe that Biology is much more than memorizing definitions and scientific terms. It is about understanding how living things work, exploring the world around us, and connecting scientific concepts to everyday life.
As a tutor, my goal is to make Biology approachable, engaging, and easier to understand for students in Grades 7–12. I understand that every student learns differently, and I believe that with the right explanations, encouragement, and practice, even challenging topics can become easier to grasp.
Whether you are looking to strengthen your understanding of Biology, prepare for an upcoming test, or feel more confident in your science classes, I am here to support your learning journey.
I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and learning at their own pace.

My lessons are designed to help students develop a clear understanding of Biology while building the confidence and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in school.
I believe that learning is most effective when students understand the reasoning behind scientific concepts rather than simply memorizing information.
My teaching approach
Every student has different strengths, challenges, and learning goals. I adapt my lessons to each student's needs, focusing on areas where they need additional support while building on what they already know.
During our online sessions, I aim to:
1. Break down complex Biology concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
2. Use practical examples and real-world connections to make scientific ideas more relatable.
3. Encourage questions and active participation to help students develop a deeper understanding of the material.
4. Work through challenging topics step by step, giving students time to understand each concept before moving forward.
5. Help students review classroom material, strengthen their understanding, and prepare for tests and exams.

I offer Biology tutoring for students in Grades 7–12, including support with:
1. Understanding Biology concepts covered in school.
2. Reviewing class notes and course material.
3. Working through homework questions and practice problems.
4. Preparing for quizzes, tests, and exams.
5. Developing effective study habits and greater confidence in science.
What makes my lessons different?
As a McGill University undergraduate, I understand the importance of developing a strong foundation in science. My goal is not simply to help students find the correct answer, but to help them understand how and why scientific processes work.
I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and become more independent learners.
