About Ella
Hello! My name is Ella Young and I am currently a mechanical engineering student at the University of Rochester. I have two years of experience tutoring students in high school math courses (Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus... regular or AP) and one year experience tutoring AP Physics 1. I have a great background in STEM courses, including receiving 5's on AP exams on AP Calculus 1, AP Calculus 2, and AP Physics 2, in addition to achieving A's in Multidimensional Calculus, Introduction to Aerospace, and Chemistry for Engineers. When I am not tutoring high school students, I help my peers with their classes because I am passionate about helping others succeed in their studies. I strive to prove to all my students that while learning can be challenging, each student has a unique learning style that will allow them to succeed in their studies. My main objective in these lessons is to help the student find their learning style and promote self-motivation as a lifelong learner.

A typical hour-long tutoring lesson includes: - Reviewing material covered in the course since the last lesson - Allowing time for the student to ask any questions about the material covered - Going over practice problems and homework questions Math and physics lessons are for high school students. Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 students are for both high school (regular level or AP) and college students.
