About Vincent
I’m an interdisciplinary tutor with professional experience across mechanical and production engineering, general nursing, biology, psychology, and applied technical work.
I worked 12-hour shifts as a general nurse on a week-on/week-off rota, alongside work in engineering, property development, and technical problem-solving. This combination shaped a systems-based approach to learning and teaching, where human factors, safety, biology, materials, and engineering decisions are considered together rather than in isolation.
My background includes an apprenticeship in Mechanical and Production Engineering, honors degrees in Biology and Psychology, and involvement in patented excavator technology. I’m actively developing and testing advanced beehive technology in my own apiary, alongside practical experience in beekeeping and applied biological systems.
I enjoy working with learners who want to understand why things work, not just follow procedures. Where appropriate, I challenge established practices, explain underlying principles, and help develop safer or more effective solutions grounded in real-world constraints.
Health-related topics are taught from a general nursing and educational perspective, with a strong emphasis on safety, observation, and evidence-based reasoning.

My lessons are structured, practical, and adapted to the individual learner. I start by understanding your goals, background, and constraints, then tailor each session accordingly.

For health-related topics, teaching is grounded in general nursing practice, emphasising anatomy and physiology, clinical reasoning, patient safety, and evidence-based decision-making.
I’m comfortable challenging established approaches where appropriate and helping learners evaluate alternatives, improve existing methods, and develop practical solutions suited to real-world conditions.
Lessons can be one-off sessions for specific problems or part of a longer, structured learning plan. I aim to help students become confident, independent thinkers who can apply what they’ve learned beyond the lesson itself.
