About Monisha
I am a third year Mechatronics Student studying at the University of Auckland. From a young age till high school I had the Asian background of memorizing and keep doing it until I get it right. The older I got the less that applied to my studies and in real life because that entirely depended on memory rather than understanding.
Throughout high school when it came to studying I reinvented my studying techniques to suit my learning style which made life less stressful while also letting me understand what I was doing to a better level. I aim to help my students do that because the further the go in life, the less tutors they will have. I believe that a tutor should help a student not only understand a subject, but help a student understand a learning technique so that they are able to teach themselves in further studies.

For my classes I believe that the best way for a student to learn is by trying, failing and then learning from their mistakes. My lessons will focus on what the student struggles with and tackling those while also focusing on the fundamentals so they don't forget it by the next lesson.
For my math lessons I am able to tutor students anywhere between primary school mathematics all the way up to the end of high school mathematics both in NCEA, Cambridge and other standards. These include Calculus, Algebra and Statistics.
For English I am also able to help students develop their English skills as I have completed NCEA level 3 at an Excellence level. I focus more on analyzing unfamiliar texts, written texts and visual texts. I can also help younger or international students with grammar, spelling, speaking and writing.
For my Chemistry courses am able to help with the NCEA chemistry standard up to Level 3 Chemistry. I focus on organic chemistry, and Thermochemistry standards in NCEA Level 3 and am able tutor and develop skills of any standard up to NCEA Level 3.
