I am a Masters in Media Studies Candidate, currently focusing on theories of representation, power and identity in my research. I hold an honors in Media Management, and an undergraduate degree in Journalism, Media Studies and Anthropology from Rhodes University.

For the year 2020 I tutored second year Journalism students in areas of photography, writing annd editing as well as communication design.
My lesson structure is every week we focus on a particular aspect of the course eg, if for this month we focus on writing and editing - then I will divide the month into writing for types of journalism writing - e.g a profile in week 1, a feature in week 2, a hard news piece in week 3 etc. All these are accompanied by lectures explaining how each works and how it is different rom the rest.
