About Shannen
I am a PhD-trained medical bioscientist and dedicated educator with a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, and reproductive biology. My academic journey, rooted in a BSc in Medical Bioscience and culminating in a PhD in Spermatology, has been marked by a commitment to research excellence, scientific communication, and impactful teaching. With over eight years of experience as a lecturer, I have mentored diverse students, developed innovative learning tools, and led research projects across South Africa, Norway, and the USA. I am passionate about translating complex science into accessible knowledge through peer-reviewed publications, public blogs, conference presentations, and educational videos.
