I am a 3rd year Medical Physics student. In my degree I use Physics to understand how the human body works, so I have a good understanding on how Physics can be applied to different subjects. Everything I explain, from simple concepts to difficult theorems, can be understood by simple real life examples. I value the mathematical tools that help solving complex physics problems but I believe that a very good understanding of the topic comes before trying to solve specific problems.
As a tutor I am patient, I try to explain in more ways if my student doesn't understand. I prepare well my lessons and I enjoy having a "dialogue" with people, not a "monologue" where it is only me talking (or solving problems in this case).
Since I started my degree, I worked and studied with other people. Some were better at different subjects, therefore when we encountered a difficult topic, the person who understood it the best explained to the others as well. I enjoyed working with people and explaining things I was confident about to them.
Although it was nothing official, I believe it helped me get a better insight of how teenagers and young adults want to be taught. In the end we all passed our exams, so I guess the studying group sessions payed off well!

- Work experience related to Physics:
I worked as a volunteer/intern with a group of researchers at the Institute of Space Science in Romania. They developed a device that helps get information about muscle's properties by sending and receiving mechanical signals in and from the muscles; the signals are then analyzed and different characteristics are outlined.
