About Ayesha
As an applicant to medical school currently on a gap year, I offer professional, empathetic, and highly effective tutoring for students navigating their science curriculum. My legitimacy as a tutor is built on both academic success and proven experience, having previously tutored both 11+ candidates and secondary school students. However, my greatest strength is that I understand the mental struggle of learning. I used to face massive challenges with concentration and staying positive when topics got tough. Because I had to learn how to overcome those exact roadblocks to secure top A* and A grades at GCSE, I can teach your child the precise mindset and study tools needed to succeed.
My professional promise to you is a patient, highly encouraging, and well-structured learning environment. I adapt to each student’s unique pace, breaking down complex medical and chemical concepts until they make perfect sense.
I believe that a great tutor should be both highly capable and approachable. When I am not focusing on science or medicine, I balance my life with creative passions like crocheting and scrapbooking. I am also an avid reader of historical and fantasy fiction, and I love travelling the world to learn about diverse cultures. Welcome! I offer structured, supportive Biology and Chemistry tutoring for secondary school and GCSE students looking to master their science subjects. All my online sessions are exactly 45 minutes long, designed to keep focus and engagement high. Having recently navigated the current curriculum myself, I understand how to translate tough concepts into plain English.
My methodology aims to move beyond simple memorisation. I teach you how to deeply understand core scientific ideas so that you can successfully apply them to completely unfamiliar exam scenarios. My lessons are deeply collaborative - I ask lots of questions, integrate clear diagrams, and involve you directly in the learning process. We will utilise powerful active revision techniques, including blurting and the Feynman Technique, alongside hands-on practice problems to permanently reinforce your knowledge.
I am an incredibly patient tutor who firmly believes that struggling, making mistakes, and asking questions are wonderful signs of progress. We will tackle tough topics as many times as you need, keeping a positive mindset every single step of the way.
