About James
I have been teaching informally since starting my degree. I give practical piano lessons to beginners several times a week and also have been involved in science tuition of students of a number of ages.
One of my piano students has just successfully completed her Grade 1 examination of the ABRSM syllabus with distinction.
A number of people to whom I have given science tutoring have gone on to complete their GCSEs or A Levels and gain some pleasing results.

I use a thorough method to ensure that every specification point is covered so that you have the best chance of success in your final exams.
I like to use role reversal - where I teach something and the next lesson you have to explain it back to me. This is one of the most powerful ways of making the brain retain information.
We will work through a lot of exam questions from past papers to ensure that your exam technique is as good as it can be and I will mark any essays or papers that you complete and send me.
