About Ruth
I have been tutoring throughout upper secondary school and sixth form and am a qualified swimming teacher outside of academia so I have a lot of hands on experience working with young people to teach them new skills. In the past I used to tutor English and Maths however I feel more able to tutor Biological sciences due to my passion for the subject and the in-depth knowledge provided by my medical school education.

I'm a medical student who tutors GCSE and A levels students in biology. I prefer to keep my lessons flexible and based upon your questions and the topics you find most difficult as I have found this is usually the most beneficial to students. I consider myself to be a resilient and caring tutor and will always work hard to find a way of working that suits you. I admit that I cannot know everything and have no shame in researching any questions I cannot answer ready for the next session, after all I am only human.
