I believe that a strong foundation is of utmost importance. So, i begin with the basics and clear the concepts and doubts there and then approach the advanced part of the topic with sometimes some trivia to keep it interesting. I don't believe in rote-learning and that answers can be written step by step once te student has a strong hold of the concept.
