About William
-MEng (Mechanical Engineering) - University of Exeter
-Professional Diploma - Quantitative Modelling - University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School
I am a 21 year old Mechanical Engineering student with a strong passion for Maths, Physics, and teaching. I have a strong background in Robotics representing the UK in numerous Robotics competitions. I have a strong background in Computer Science with a comprehensive understanding in Python, C+, C++, Java(script), Competed several times in the Mathematics school Olympiads, I am currently writing papers in Quantum Mechanics in Option and Futures investments and Modern Particle Theory in conjunction with Stochastic and Probabilistic Calculus
I sat the IB (International Baccalaureate) - HL Maths, HL Physics, Achieving grades equivalent to:
-A*, A
I believe these subjects form the foundation of modern society and play a major role in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are invaluable both academically and in the workplace.
I enjoy helping students build confidence and understanding by showing them not only how topics work, but also how they apply to the real world. My goal as a tutor is to make learning engaging, approachable, and genuinely useful, while helping students reach their full academic potential.

I am a Mechanical Engineering student with 2 years of tutoring experience teaching (i)GCSE Maths, Physics, and Further Maths ages (14-17). I also teach those sitting the 11+ and 13+
My teaching style is highly interactive and focused on building strong conceptual understanding, particularly in Physics where visual learning and real-world examples can make difficult topics much easier to grasp.
I regularly question students throughout lessons to check understanding and encourage active thinking rather than passive memorisation. Once students have developed confidence in a topic, I use exam-style questions and timed practice to consolidate learning and prepare them for real exam conditions.
I also place strong emphasis on mark schemes and examiner expectations, helping students understand not just the content itself, but how to structure answers in the way exam boards are looking for.
