About Charlotte
My name is Charlotte DeKoning and teaching is a passion of mine. One of my favorite feelings is that moment when a student finally grasps an elusive concept. That's why I love tutoring. Giving students that one-on-one attention, observing their stumbling blocks, and working to get past them is the best way to help students learn. I can't count the number of times I've had students tell me "Oh, that makes so much sense now!" and it's because I'm able to identify their specific issues quickly and put the concepts into terms they understand.

In college I got a scholarship in exchange for working at the tutoring center, which is how I started. It was so enjoyable and rewarding that I continued to take on students after I graduated and have been growing my business ever since!
I have 5 years experience tutoring quantitative subjects. In addition, I have a Bachelor's in Accounting (A average in financial accounting), a Bachelor's in Business Economics (A average in economics), and a Master's in Economics (A average).

Hello! I’m Charlotte, and I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I hold Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Business Economics, as well as a Master's in Economics. Currently, I’m pursuing my MBA, staying up to date with the latest industry practices.
With over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in accounting, economics, statistics, finance, and related subjects. I work exclusively with adult learners—college and graduate students or adults returning to education. If you’re a parent inquiring about tutoring for your student, please have your student reach out to me directly. This reduces miscommunications and ensures a smoother, more effective process.
As a neurodivergent educator, I approach topics from different angles and offer explanations that “click” for students when traditional methods haven’t worked. One of the comments I most often hear is, “Why didn’t they just explain it THAT way?!” My own way of processing information helps me break down complex concepts and make learning more accessible and relatable.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and tailored to each student’s learning needs and goals. Whether you're building foundational skills or tackling advanced material, I adapt my approach to suit you and provide clear, encouraging guidance at every step.
