About Lauren
I am a UW Madison undergraduate student from New Jersey, currently in the Madison area. I am currently a sophomore studying biology/animal science and am aspiring to go to veterinary school. My course work consists mostly of science and math classes and some of my favorite subjects are Physics, Math, Biology, Computer Science and Philosophy. I love to learn new things and the way they can be applied to everyday things and challenges. I believe that learning and studying should be a fun and rewarding process, not a painful, dreaded experience, while still being productive and effective.

My philosophy about learning a subject and properly preparing for exams is that it is crucial to understand the reasoning behind answers and to understand why an answer is correct, not just memorize them. I am a very visual learner so I love to explain things using visuals, drawings, and diagrams to understand a question. While I think a complete understanding is important to be able to apply learning objectives to problems you may have never seen before, I also love to have little tips and tricks to help remind you of steps and to be able to justify and check your answers.
