About Jack
Currently, I am a TA at a local middle school in a special education classroom. I am also in school myself and am pursuing a degree in secondary science education with an enphasis in Biology. I have years of experiecne studying concepts rooted in Algebra and Biology. While not fluent, I am very proficient in Spanish and am able to provide assistance for english language learners who are navigating these concepts with a background in Spanish.

With a background as a total math and science nerd, I look to provide supplemental lessons to middle and high school students to cover any gaps in content knowledge. I aim to connect concepts to the real world and make math and science concepts relatable for those who it might not come easy to. I also have experience with english language learners (Spanish) and special education. My first goal is to ask questions and see what specific concepts are causing confusion. From there, I balance instructoin and practice to aid instudent growth. As the final step, I have students demonstrate knowledge by becoming the teacher and act as though I am the student. By having students "teach" me a concept, I can see where their level of understanding is.
