About Aurelia
I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was 11. The typical classroom approach to learning left me believing I was stupid and incapable. Luckily I had some amazing teachers who took the time to understand my individual learning needs and approached my learning in a different way. The reason I want to teach is to help students who may feel stupid or incapable realise that, with a different approach, they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.

As a dyslexic student I find the traditional class room approach to language learning antiquated, restrictive and discouraging. It wasn’t until I did my undergraduate degree that I realised there were other ways to learn a language. With me students will approach language learning in a multi sensory way, with homework often being to watch a film or listen to music in Italian. Lessons can be anywhere from 45mins to 90 to suit each students needs. I have previously tutored in English, maths and French successfully with my students achieving high grades at their chosen level.

With Aurelia's help my Italian skills improved immensely, I had been severely behind in my course, and with her help I was able to not only catch up with, but out-do my classmates! My teacher has never been so impressed!
Aurelia has provided incredibile support to my daughter with dyslexia. She really understands multi-disciplinary learning and has proven to be an invaluable learning resource. I recommend her unreservedly for the wonderful work she has done.
Aurelia tutored my son in maths to get him ready for his common entrance exams. Not only was she well prepared for each lesson, but she took the time to get to know my son, who began looking forward to his lessons each week. He got 87% in his exam. I cannot recommend Aurelia highly enough!
