About Janani
I’m Janani! I’ve always loved working and connecting with young people in any capacity - whether that’s in private tutoring, education support, mentoring, or youth facilitation. As someone with a keen understanding of how to explain difficult concepts in comprehensible ways, I take great pride in getting to make educational gains more accessible to young people, via private tutoring. It brings me great purpose to get to do this work alongside my own studies in psychology, and I hope to continue working as a private tutor for a long time.
Apart from my work as a private tutor (and all the other roles I’ve held in the youth space) I also enjoy baking vegan desserts, sculpting, going for long walks to the beach, and going to concerts! 🪩

As an experienced online tutor, I arrive at Zoom tutoring sessions on time and with distinct professionalism. During sessions, I acquire an understanding of the student’s specific learning needs and area of the curriculum they are currently covering, and provide support and new ways of explaining the concepts they are struggling with in order to promote real learning and retention. I also provide concise resource/ summary sheets based on areas of difficulty so that the student has tools to refer to moving forward. I proficiently tailor my teaching approach to the student, and take pride in cultivating a curiosity and love of learning in my students - so that tutoring is not only about getting better grades in school, but equally about expanding one’s intellectual capacity to engage with the world around them.
I have been a private tutor (online and in-person) for 6 years, and an Education Support Worker for 2 years. Feel free to contact me for any of your tutoring needs! ️
