About Alastair
I am an MSc Physics student studying at Heriot-Watt University about to enter my 5th and final year of study. While I am new to tutoring, collaborating with other students to help explain concepts or tackle difficult problems in physics and maths based areas has been of key focus for my developing skill set. As such, I would like to apply this skill set into helping younger students in their studies.

I would prefer to give lessons to secondary students doing GCSEs, A-Levels, Scottish Highers etc. However, I have the most experience in the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Students would ideally have some problems they have been working through or a subject they have been learning about and would come to lessons needing help with specific questions or concepts that I can go through with them. I aim to create a friendly environment where the student can feel like they are collaborating with me to solve a difficult problem or understand a certain concept.
