About Luca
I am a MSc candidate in Biostatistics with Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I have worked in a teaching role for many years. In my teenage years I worked as a sailing instructor for 3 years which has given me confidence and professionalism in presenting new topics to learners. These traits further developed in my undergraduate studies where I worked as a teaching assistant for 2 years. In this role I offered help to students in the mathematics department, taught tutorial lessons and graded midterms/exams.

My lessons typically begin with a question and answer segment so that I can get an idea of the concepts the student is having troubles with along with their learning styles. From there I will review the concepts students are having problems with and provide examples. Next, we will go through practice problems assigned by your teacher/professor to help with the students understanding. I will also give the opportunity to review your tests, quizzes, assignments and midterms.
My goal is to help students understand difficult math problems within a comfortable setting. I want for students to feel as if they are simply working with a friend or classmate rather than learning from a superior. I believe students learn best within this setting as it makes the environment feel casual rather than intense or intimidating.
