About the lesson
My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds.
- Essay Writing
Being a master’s student in MSc Social and Cultural Psychology at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), I possess an excellent understanding of the essay writing process, be it a short or a long written piece of work. In addition to that, I have a strong grasp of the critical thinking and analytical skills, crucial to succeed in higher education. The modules that I have already undertaken in my degree are as follows: Political Psychology (74% obtained), The Social Psychology of Economic Life (71% obtained), Contemporary Social and Cultural Psychology, Psychological and Behavioural Science.
Having completed an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) and graduated with an upper-class honours degree from the University of Nottingham, I am familiar with both IB curriculum and have extensive knowledge of communication and media studies. The subjects that I took in IB and would be happy to teach are: HL History (20th Century European History curriculum), HL English B, SL Geography. Moreover, I am able to advise on how to deliver a high-standard Extended Essay in History and other social sciences (IB). Finally, I have in-depth knowledge of qualitative research methods, using which I have produced a dissertation on how the forms of art can serve as a means to empower homeless individuals. Some of the modules I have completed during my bachelor’s degree are the following: Communication and Culture, Political Communication, Public Relations and Propaganda, Public Cultures: Protest, Participation and Power. Since most of my undergraduate and postgraduate modules had a big component of Sociology, I would be happy to teach Communication, Sociology, Public Relations, Social Psychology, Cultural Psychology and Behavioural Science to undergraduate students.
Perfect! Absolutely AMAZING, I couldn't have done it without her!
