I teach with real life examples and to demonstrate this I want to take an example of a number line which can be taught by considering the real life situation as the sea level is the bench mark which is 0 and above it are positive integers and below sea level are the negative integers. This gives a clear understanding why we learn number line. School students from 9th standard onwards can grasp the concepts well and it will help in higher studies no matter wherever they go in the future.
