About Will
With over a decade of tutoring experience and a background that blends education and tech leadership, I bring both depth and versatility to my teaching. I hold a BSc and a BEd with specializations in Math Education, Career & Tech Studies, and International Education, and I’m TESL certified—so whether you're tackling algebra, improving your essay writing, learning English, or exploring logic and statistics, I’m ready to help. I’ve taught students from around the world, including time spent overseas and in Canadian public schools, and I’ve worked with learners of all ages—from early elementary to university-level and adult ESL learners. These days, I work in a senior tech role with a strong focus on training and onboarding, which keeps my teaching skills sharp and my communication clear. My goal is to meet you where you're at, build on your strengths, and help you gain the confidence and skills to tackle challenges independently. Whether we’re tackling a math concept, writing assignment, or exam prep, my goal is to help you use what you’ve learned—not just memorize it.
My sessions are designed around authentic assessment: can you solve a problem you'd actually face outside of class? If yes, we’re doing it right. I like to get to know what clicks for you—maybe it's visuals, stories, examples from your interests—and build a toolkit of strategies we can rotate through to keep things familiar but never boring.
A typical session might start with a quick check-in and mini review, then jump into applied exercises or discussions based on your current goals. I keep things interactive and flexible—no one-size-fits-all lesson plans here.
I work with high school and college students, or anyone tackling academic subjects with real-world relevance. Whether you're aiming to boost your grades, prep for an exam, or just feel more confident applying your knowledge, I’d love to help.
