About Elizabeth
Dr. Elizabeth Tracy loves music and theater and teaching people of all ages. She has been teaching private lessons since 2008 and has taught K-12 and college music and music education since 2010. In addition to her private lesson studio, she currently teaches music courses and is the Director of Bands at Terra State Community College. She is active in community theater, directing and music directing with the Ritz Players in Tiffin, OH. She earned her Ph.D. in music education from Case Western Reserve University, master’s degree in music education from Heidelberg University, and her bachelor’s degree in music education from Otterbein University.

Hi! I'm so excited to meet you. At your first lesson, we'll meet and discuss your musical aspirations, set some goals, and get to work. I use a combination of visual, aural, kinesthetic, and written activities to help students find success. I adapt my teaching to meet the needs and support learners of all ages (3-93)! Typical Lesson structure: -Warmup 10% -Student presents current work 45% -Together, we address misconceptions and practice strategies for improvement 40% -Wrap-up, answer any questions, clarify homework 5% Pre-K Piano (perfect for 3-5 year olds who want to make music and start building pre-reading music skills) Piano (best for ages 5-93 year olds. I adapt the instruction to your skill level, your experience, and your interests) Voice (best for age 10 and up, focusing on creating healthy sound free of tension)
