My name is Chukwuma Favour Chidebere, and I am a university-trained music graduate with a strong passion for teaching and helping students understand music in a clear and meaningful way. I believe that music education should be both structured and enjoyable, and I am committed to guiding learners with patience, clarity, and professionalism. I hold a bachelor’s degree in music, with academic training in music theory, music appreciation, and music analysis. Through my studies and tutoring experience, I have developed the ability to explain musical concepts in a simple, logical manner that suits beginners while still meeting academic standards for more advanced students. As a tutor, I am calm, organized, and student-focused. I take time to understand each learner’s goals and learning pace, ensuring that lessons are supportive, engaging, and productive. My lessons are student-centered, practical, and structured to help learners truly understand music rather than memorize concepts. I focus on building a strong foundation in music theory and appreciation while adapting each lesson to the learner’s pace, goals, and learning style.
I use a combination of explanation, guided practice, listening examples, and simple exercises to make abstract musical concepts clear and relatable. For beginners, lessons start from the basics and gradually progress to more advanced topics. For intermediate and university-level students, I focus on clarity, analysis, and application, especially in preparation for examinations, coursework, or performances.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs. Each lesson is well-planned, interactive and ends with a brief review and optional practice tasks to reinforce learning.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in music and have experience tutoring students in music theory, music appreciation, and related academic subjects. I also assist students with understanding musical styles, historical context, and analytical listening, helping them develop both technical knowledge and musical awareness.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, including:
