About Jon
Hello. My name is Jon, I am a 40 year old professional guitarist currently teaching in Essex and Hertfordshire as well as offering online lessons. I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and have been teaching since I was 21. As well a teaching guitar I also teach music production and have recorded albums and performed all over Europe in various bands.

Music production is the process of recording sounds and arranging them in a way that the listener can hear what the artist intended. Whether taking other people’s tracks and producing them using plugins like reverb, delays, eq’s and compression or creating songs from scratch and adding layers of midi tracks and sound effects.
The practice of music production is both a science and an art.
I teach all of this and more to my students, starting with the basics of how to use music production software, recording sounds and putting it all together. To balancing, tonal Frequencies in the sound spectrum and mixing and mastering songs to a commercial level.
My current band The Lunar Effect has received critical acclaim. Our debut single 'Woman' which was recorded and produced by myself has had nearly half a million streams worldwide.
