I believe in a teaching approach that focuses on the specific needs and interests of the individual - in music there is no one method of teaching that will work for everyone. My lessons will be tailored to help you pursue your passion in the way that will work best for you.
I am a musician with a wide range of teaching experience including (but not limited to) composing, music theory and piano. I achieved a first class degree in music from the University of Oxford, (winning the Oxford University Music Society Composition Competition in my final year).
For two years after I held the post of Musician in Residence at Bloxham School in Oxfordshire, teaching Piano, Composition and Music Theory, as well as conducting for the schools instrumental and choral ensembles.
Next year I will pursue postgraduate study in composing at the prestigious National Film and Television School. I have composed for (and orchestrated) music for 3 musicals and 5 amateur film productions.
