About Tanya
My name is Mrs. Tanya. I was born & raised in El Paso, Texas. I have always loved learning other languages and helping non-native speakers learn how to speak English. I have been tutoring since I was in grade school, as my mom was also a teacher. I have lived in several foreign countries and have a degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (BTESL). I have tutored and instructed for over the past 15+ years in the KSA, Egypt, and Malaysia. I love seeing the spark in my students of all ages when they learn new vocabulary or incorporate language skills into their speaking. I look forward to teaching you using several approaches to learning English, and in a fun & engaging way.

After the initial assessment, students will work on communicative skills as well as lessons that include reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Younger students will work on greetings and commonly used phrases, but also learn how to decode words that will enable them to start working on their reading skills. Older students will have lessons that cater to their specific needs. That could be speaking skills or understanding more difficult reading passages, etc.
