About Alexandra
I’m an incoming freshman in college, this means all material from high school is very much fresh in my mind. Being in a common age range with my students creates a more level environment in terms of communication. I was Editor in Chief of my high school newspaper and yearbook. This led to us winning Herff Jones’ award for the best yearbook in the country! I took AP Literature and Composition and scored a 4 on the AP test! English is something that I love teaching others about because some of the biggest messages are present within the pages of hundreds of books!

My main focus is to create a concrete understanding of any literature provided and to truly understand the emotion and tone of the work, while simultaneously building and maintaining an increase in a more intellectual vocabulary. It is important to me to hone in on the students specific struggles to incorporate methods and techniques to better their understanding in literature.
