About Chess

I'm a dedicated chess player who enjoys teaching others and helping students discover the strategic side of the game.

I've spent years studying chess, solving puzzles, analyzing games, and improving my own skills. I especially enjoy working with newer players because I know how important it is to have someone explain concepts clearly and patiently.

Outside of chess, I'm a student interested in STEM and problem solving, which connects strongly with the logical thinking and creativity that chess develops.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Jacob. I'm a student and passionate chess player rated 2500 offering online chess lessons for beginners and intermediate players.

I focus on helping students build a strong foundation in chess through:

* Understanding opening principles
* Developing tactical awareness
* Improving calculation skills
* Learning strategic ideas and plans
* Reviewing games to identify mistakes and improve

My lessons are personalized based on each student's level and goals. Whether you're learning the rules, trying to improve your online rating, or preparing for tournaments, I'll help you become a stronger and more confident player.

I believe chess should be challenging but fun, and my goal is to make every lesson engaging while helping students see real improvement.
