About MICHAELA-JANE

My name is Michaela-Jane Potgieter, I am a tutor, bilingual in English and Afrikaans. I love meeting people who love to learn and I love learning new things from others as well. I have tutored since the age of 13 and am currently studying to be a teacher.

About the lesson

I teach Afrikaans in a fun and engaging way using quizzes such as Kahoot, using auditory and visual teaching methods by discussing the topic in Afrikaans and watching extra YouTube videos that are relative to the topic being taught to allow for a better learning experience.

Roxanne

She is so patient, kind, and creative in her approach, qualities that make her a fantastic fit for one-on-one tutoring.

Michaela is especially good at breaking down difficult concepts into simple, relatable steps. She’s attentive to individual needs, and genuinely wants her learners to succeed, not just academically, but in their confidence too. I’ve seen her go out of her way to prepare, and problem-solve, and bring a little extra spark to learning.

She takes her responsibilities seriously and carries herself with maturity, warmth, and respect.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is caring, and dedicated to making a difference, she is a wonderful choice.

So, for the past nine months gaining experience from her, she taught me confidence, consistency and even gave me motivation to succeed in life, she taught me a lot concerning maths, history and even art! If I could recommend anyone, it would be Michaela-jane!
