About Xinyi
I was born in mainland China. A native mandarine speaker myself, I come to develop a keen interest in English and language in general. However, it is always passing on what I am capable of and helping others progress that thrill me the most.
I major in English Education as an undergraduate, which, alongside various internships and private tutoring roles I have taken up, affords me with the necessary language knowledge and skills in English Language education.
In this post-pandemic era, my attention is also inevitably drawn to the rise of online teaching and the wonderful boosting effects it has produced on both teachers and students: at a time when schools in my region had to shut down, I used to work with my then senior two student on her grammar and writing through Zoom. I was not optimistic at first, but I soon started to appreciate the potential to make my lessons equally informative and interactive with the help of clear lesson planning and multimedia tools etc.
