About Isabel
¡Hola! My name is Isabel, and I am a native Spanish tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Bristol, and since then, I’ve developed a solid career helping learners of all ages achieve fluency, confidence, and academic success in Spanish. Teaching Experience I have over 3 years of classroom experience teaching Spanish across primary and secondary schools in the Southwest of England. I’ve worked with a wide range of students, including: Young learners from year 4 to year 11. Exam-focused students preparing for GCSE, A-Level, and DELE qualifications In addition, I’ve been providing private Spanish tutoring for over 10 years, supporting both children and adults in developing their Spanish skills at all levels — from complete beginners to advanced speakers looking to refine their fluency or prepare for exams and certifications. Teaching Style & Approach I pride myself on making lessons engaging, practical, and tailored to each individual student. Whether you’re a visual learner, a grammar enthusiast, or someone who needs to build confidence speaking, I will adapt my approach to match your learning style and goals. I incorporate: Conversational practice in real-life contexts Cultural immersion and interactive activities Structured grammar explanations (when needed!) Preparation strategies for exams with past papers and guided revision Games and songs for younger learners My aim is to create a safe, encouraging, and fun environment where students feel supported, motivated, and excited about learning Spanish. Location & Flexibility I am based in Staple Hill, Bristol, but I can also travel to your home for in-person lessons. I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, as I am actively working in schools. I can also offer online lessons if that is more convenient for you. Availability Mondays: Available all day Tuesdays to Fridays: Available after 6:00 pm I can work with individuals, small groups, or families looking to learn together.
