About Niamh
I am an ambitious and enthusiastic Durham University undergraduate, studying Natural Sciences. I specialise in Biology, Biochemistry and Geography.
I am looking to tutor A level, GCSE and secondary level Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
I am determined to help you to achieve or exceed your target grades. I am quite flexible in terms of when I am able to tutor.
I achieved straight A* grades in Geography, Biology and Chemistry A Levels, as well as an A* in a Geography and Science - based EPQ.
I also achieved the equivalent of nine A* grades and one A grade at GCSE. I am now studying Natural Sciences at the University of Durham, specialising in Biology, Biochemistry and Geography.
I have enjoyed tutoring younger students and aiding their progress towards achieving higher grades, including via online lessons.

I know the importance of sticking to the syllabus and tailoring lessons to fulfil the specific requirements of students, in order to ensure you are fully prepared for exams and can avoid the stress that often accompanies GCSEs and A Levels.
I will tailor the lessons to meet the requirements of the student. My lessons are productive, and often focus on structuring answers and exam technique. I will discuss techniques to ensure the points on the mark scheme are met and the ways in which to achieve top marks. I can also teach the content of the syllabus if that is what’s required.
I can also give advice on how to ensure high grades for the EPQ and how to write the perfect academic personal statement.
