About Cat
I have unofficially been giving lessons to my fellow students for the past year or so. Most of the people I have helped are mature students who have been out of education for a long time. Usually what they have learnt in the past has since been disproven when it comes to Science subjects. The friends that I have helped all passed their biology modules with either a high 2:1 or a 1st.

I'm currently in my second year of a Zoology degree at Derby Uni, the only Zoology course in the country that offers CIEEM accreditation. Our first year centred heavily on human bio and chemistry, so my biology knowledge is to degree level at this point. I did not complete A Levels to get to uni, I joined through doing a foundation year, so I have had to learn all the A Level content at the same time as the degree content.
When I tutor I change the way I work as I get to know who I am working with. No 2 people learn the same, so tutors need to be flexible in that respect. If something isn't working, that way of doing it needs to change. It's never the students fault if they don't understand something.
