About Maira
I'm a Ph.D. Doctor, a Scientist, an Engineer and a passionate teacher. I have been involved in academic teaching and research since 2012 and many of my students are now successful engineers and professionals. I am also a mom to two school-aged kids, that makes me adept in tactful teaching and creating a safe environment for young ones.

My lessons are purely "you" centered, customized based on the needs of each individual student. I keep a friendly and comfortable environment for the students in which they are motivated to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking. My commitment and approach to teaching have been rewarded with the highest teaching evaluations a tutor/teacher can receive in an institution particularly dedicated to outstanding teaching. I was consistently among the top 10% of all lecturers, assistant professors, tutors, teachers and instructors at university and school. My main goal is to help my students enjoy learning. With extensive experience in teaching university undergrad and postgrad students, I can proficiently teach and help with problems related to various Mechanical Engineering courses such as Thermodynamics, Mechanics of Solids, Mechanics of Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, MEMS and microfluidics and many more. I have expertise in Math, Physics, Chemistry and Science for all levels of school students as well.
